UWC Philippines National Committee Application Form

APPLICATION DEADLINE

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Citizenship Requirement

Only Filipino citizens or those who have a path towards Filipino citizenship, may apply through UWC Philippines. For non-Filipinos, check your eligibility for other National Committees or alternate ways to apply to a UWC School at www.uwc.org.

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP / PROOF OF QUALIFICATION TOWARDS OBTAINING CITIZENSHIP (Ex: Filipino Citizenship of at least One Parent / Path towards naturalization due to residency in The Philippines): Required in the Application Form

2. Passport Requirement

  • Must qualify for or hold a Filipino passport.

3. Age Qualification for Entry 2027 (UWC SY Start August 2027 )

You must be born between:

➡️ June 1, 2009 and October 1, 2011

Important Notes:

  • This range allows some allowance for successful applicants to start UWC at 15 years, 10 months old by August 1, 2027. 
  • No applicants younger than this range can be accepted.
  • Applicants must not turn 20 years old before June 1, 2029.
  • Exceptions may be considered only for:
    • SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas Applicant
    • Refugee status (political, economic, environmental, religious, gender, etc)
    • Asylum seeker status
    • Internally displaced status
    • Disenfranchised minority  (political, economic, environmental, religious, gender, etc)
    • Local Disenfranchised Ethnic Minority in The Philippines
    • Other Similar Groups

These are subject to each UWC school decision on a case‑by‑case basis. UWC Philippines National Committee (UWCPH NC) only selects and nominates candidates to UWC schools. Final decision lies with the UWC school. 


IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR APPLICANTS

Applicants must meet both the required birthdate range and the Filipino Citizenship requirement to access the Online Application Form. If your birthdate does not fall within the specified range, you will not be able to open or view the UWC Philippines National Committee Online Application Form.

You may still be able to create a SurveyMonkey Apply (SMA) account. However, the UWC Philippines Online Application will not appear in your SMA dashboard if your birthdate is outside the required range listed below.

For UWC SY 2027: Applicant’s birthdate must be between:

June 1, 2009 and October 1, 2011

Possible Exemptions

If you are a Filipino citizen who belongs to any of these groups and you do not meet the standard age requirement, kindly contact us to explain your situation. 

We will assess if any of the UWC schools can potentially make an exemption should your application be successful for nomination.

Application Fee Exemption/Waiver

Application fees may be waived for applicants who can share documentation indicating financial hardship.

Examples of acceptable documents include:

  • Proof of residence in a refugee camp / asylum application status
  • Documentation of financial assistance from the government or other organizations
  • The most recent income tax return of your primary provider
  • Any other document that helps demonstrate financial need

A Certificate of Indigency issued by the barangay or the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is an accepted government document that certifies the applicant belongs to a financially challenged household. We understand that circumstances vary widely. If you are unsure what documents you can provide, you are welcome to reach out to us so we can support you through the process.

ALTERNATIVE APPLICATION FORMATS

If you have limited access to the internet or digital devices, you may request an alternative application format (PDF or MS Word).

Please note: These formats require you to prepare additional addendum pages to ensure that your submission aligns with the structure of the online application. You are responsible for identifying which sections apply to you and determining how to adapt your responses to meet the requirements originally designed for online submission.

We will accept completed PDF or MS Word application forms. However, please be aware that certain sections may be more challenging to complete in these formats, and you may need to adjust your responses accordingly.
