You will be submitting your application 1 year beforehand. 

Deadlines:

First Round Application Cycle: August 2026 - 1 October 2026

Second Round Application Cycle: 1 October 2026 - 9 December 2026

Important Notes & Selection Timeline:

• Financial Assistance: Applicants are not eligible for financial aid.
• Selected Candidates will be invited to interview
• Applications submitted by Second Round Cycle:
  • Results announced March 2027 onwards (Conditional Offer, Rejection, Deferred to Regular Application the following year)
• April 2028: Official Offer Letters sent
• August 2028: Join LPC / Term begins

Applicants not offered admission in this round are eligible to reapply through Regular Decision for the following year.

Eligibility:

To qualify as an applicant through UWCHK, you will need:

• a) To hold a Hong Kong Permanent ID Card or dependent visa; and
• b) To be currently studying in Secondary 3 (or its equivalent) as of September 2026.

A complete application includes:

• Application Form
• Parent Statement - to be completed by parents
• Recommendation Form - to be completed online by references who knows you well but are not your relatives or friends. (They could be your school teachers, coaches or trainers for outside school activities.)
• Last 2 year school reports
• HKID
• A passport-size photo
• Passport copies
